What's your name?
  • Mira Camilla
What brought you to yoga? What keeps you coming back to yoga?
  • From a younger age, I have been highly passionate about health, fitness and the sporting world, my passion for this lifestyle kept growing over the years. I wanted to deepen my knowledge and decided to attended school for Kinesiology. During my journey of playing many sports I added yoga to my routine thinking it’s just going to add some flexibility. After walking out of my first ever yoga class it was like love at first sight. I kept attending classes on daily basis ever since and have found that many aspects of my life improved, I was more clear minded, grounded, physically stronger and my post-workout recovery was a lot faster.
What pose(s) are you currently working with (favourite, challenged by etc.)?
  • I’m currently working with headstand (Shirshasana) I love looking at things upside down, I believe it’s always good to flip the perspective and shift the angle from which you perceive. Headstand really allows me to be present, all I think about while I’m in the pose is bracing my core, my drishti gaze and my breath.

Why Liberty Life Yoga?
  • I spent most of my 2017 in San Diego, California practicing yoga on the beach. When I moved back to Toronto I missed the greatness of doing yoga in the outdoors. I saw on Facebook that there was a yoga in the park event happening so I decided to attend and that’s where I met Sarah for the first time, her amazing energy and the awesome community really resonated with me! Being able to connect with my students and have my teaching be personalized for them is what I enjoy most, oh and off course the YOGA.
Words of Wisdom for someone thinking of trying (Liberty Life) Yoga?
  • Yoga is a wonderful tool to incorporate in your day to day life, practicing yoga has way too many benefits, as we are bio individuals it benefits each person differently. My advice to you is when you start attending yoga classes is be patient with yourself and your body, it’s not an overnight process and definitely don’t compare your process with someone else’s! Lastly, just inhale, exhale and enjoy the journey. Namasté

Mira has taught our Light Flow and Core Flow classes at 75 East Liberty & Wynford Place. Check out the condo schedule to book a class with her!
