What brought you to Liberty Life Yoga?
  • I have always tried to maintain a healthy lifestyle and spend a moderate amount of time exercising, but something that distinguishes yoga from other physical activities that I personally value is its ability to reduce stress and relax the mind.
What is it that you LOVE about practicing with Liberty Life Yoga?
  • Yoga practice with Liberty Life Yoga creates a very enjoyable and warm atmosphere as you get to know the teachers personally and gain awareness regarding meditation and breathing practices. ​
What pose are you currently working with? Your favourite pose? Or a pose that you find challenging? Why?
  • Currently I am focused on strengthening my core. One of my favourite poses has to be side plank because it engages a number of muscles as well as increases endurance and makes you pay attention to breathing, which is crucial in yoga. On the other hand, the pose that I am facing most challenges with is the bridge pose because I feel like it requires a lot of abdominal work and practice. ​

Tell us a bit about your yoga journey...
  • I have never been interested in yoga until the beginning of my university studies. My perspective of yoga greatly changed when I started my practice with LLY because it allowed me to get to know my body and connect with my mind. After a certain period of time, I began to notice how my physical and mental well-being began to improve which has led to positive changes not only in my studies, but in my everyday life.

You may have heard about people taking private yoga classes, or even considered taking them yourself. We are often asked why people would choose to do private classes and what the benefits are.

Perhaps one of the best things about private yoga, is that you can see your improvements in a short period of time. This means, that in just 5 to 10 classes, you can change your practice, for the better. 

We have a number of students we work with on a short-term basis to complement what they are doing in public /group classes, in addition to students who prefer long-term, one-on-one classes.

No matter what your goals are, we'll work with you to make them a reality!

Here are some of the many benefits private yoga classes offer:
  • Yoga, delivered to your door. No more lugging your mat around town or rushing to get to class, yoga comes to you;
  • Schedule yoga at your convenience. We have a team of talented teachers throughout the GTA. We will work with you to find the right fit for your schedule so that you can do yoga when you want;
  • Feel and see results, fast. Your instructor is able to personalize your class so that you spend time working on what your body needs, not spending time on the things you already excel at;​

  • Yoga, your way. Whether you are new to the practice, a seasoned practitioner, or recovery from an injury, we blend a variety of yoga and movement practices to deliver what you are looking for;
  • Personalized instruction. Your class is tailored to you, which means we can change the plan at any time and you can ask us questions along the way.​

We are offering a 1-hour initial yoga session for $100 (savings of $20)!

This includes a pre-meeting survey to share goals, injuries / pertinent medical history, and allows us to understand what you are looking for.

In our hour together, we will move through poses that help you towards your goal. We’ll look at any compensations, misalignments, and offer a plan on how to continue to support you as your move towards your goals (valid on all new bookings until April 30, 2019).

What brought you to Liberty Life Yoga?
  • First of all, Debbi lives in Liberty Village so it is extremely convenient for us. Secondly, we love Lindsey! She's adorable and an excellent yoga instructor.
What is it that you LOVE about practicing with Liberty Life Yoga?
  • We love that it feels like a little family. It's a very nice community to be a part of.
What pose are you currently working with? Your favourite pose? Or a pose that you find challenging? Why?
  • Laura and Debbi - Chaturanga and Pigeon Pose (Laura has tight hips), and obviously downward dog!
Tell us a bit about your yoga journey...
  • We began yoga with Yoga in the Park. We loved it as a beautiful addition to our mind body practice. ​
